Giving Online
Our ministry began helping children in 2004, following the tragic events in Beslan, Russia when hundreds of innocent school children were killed by terrorists. In order to comfort grieving families who lost their children, we organized a benefit concert. Since that time, we have been privileged to serve thousands of children in numerous countries--striving to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. To give you a glimpse of our most recent projects, consider the following:
In 2005 we visited ten orphanages in Ukraine and personally distributed 1,500 presents to children during the Christmas season. Yet more importantly - we were able to bring hope, faith, and love to so many children. In 2006 we helped to send a 40 foot container with clothing, medicine and some toys to orphans in Ukraine. In 2007 we helped hundreds of orphans in Kazakhstan. These children received shoes, clothes, and food. In addition, we purchased badly needed ovens, a refrigerator, and also a computer for educational needs.
In 2008, two separate groups traveled to serve orphans in Moldova and in Kyrgyzstan. We organized summer camps, supplied badly needed hygiene items, and helped with shoes and clothing for the little ones. In 2009 we went to Tajikistan where we gave out 2,000+ Christmas presents, hundreds of blankets to keep the kids warm during the frigid winter, and distributed food and clothing for the neediest children.
Our goal for this year is to raise $42,000 in order to benefit orphans in Russia, Central Asia and Moldova. During this time of global recession, the ones who suffer the most are also the most neglected. Would you please help? All our work is done by volunteers; since we do not have any overhead, one hundred percent of all donations go directly to the children--both orphans and members of poverty-stricken families. Further more, contributions are tax deductible.
